CURRICULUM PROGRAM
Computer Science at UITM is a practice-oriented educational path designed to prepare you for the rapidly evolving world of technology. You learn through projects, teamwork, coding challenges, and real-life business cases, while theoretical knowledge is introduced where it supports practical problem-solving. The curriculum reflects current trends in software development, helping you build competencies sought after in the modern digital economy.
The curriculum is developed in cooperation with technology companies and industry experts, ensuring that you acquire skills aligned with current market expectations. During your studies, you work with professional development environments, cloud platforms, cybersecurity tools, databases, and AI technologies used by leading organizations worldwide. This practical experience allows you to build a competitive advantage from day one and develop competencies that support long-term career growth in the IT sector.
82%
of the study program consists of PRACTICAL courses
18%
of the study program consists of THEORETICAL courses
The subject focuses on the elementary principles of communication, protocols, technologies and standards of the different layers of the OSI model. You will also learn the principles of network design, network simulation model construction, documentation development, and computer network trends and challenges.
It covers the following topics: building circuits, retrieving and storing large data sets in an IoT system, programming Big Data solutions, data mining and visualization.
As part of the implementation of the course, the student will learn: identification of threats using professional bases, detection of basic threats in the operating system, security models and standards. You will also discuss how to secure devices and systems, as well as securing servers and networks.
Here you will learn about the construction of IoT system models., industrial IoT applications, and IoT systems in the real world. You will also learn how solutions for IoT are created, as well as the principles of their design.
Here you will learn an introduction to the creation of web applications using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript – working environment, you will also learn how to create programs with a graphical interface.
It covers topics in algorithm design methods, estimation of computational complexity of algorithms. You will also learn how search and sorting algorithms are used in data processing problems. You will also learn advanced methods of graph operations and their implementation.
As part of the course, the student will learn the theories, principles and guidelines for interface design, how to analyze a website in terms of its usability and effectiveness, and how to design a graphical interface for a website.
It includes the following topics: object identification, expert systems, elements of machine learning. You will also learn the application of artificial intelligence methods.
