Kierownik Katedry Ekonomii i Finansów Wyższej Szkoły Informatyki i Zarządzania w Rzeszowie.

Zatrudniony w Wyższej Szkole Informatyki i Zarządzania od 2004 roku.

Doktor habilitowany nauk społecznych w dyscyplinie ekonomia i finanse. Przedmiotem jego dorobku habilitacyjnego był popyt na pracę, natomiast praca doktorska dotyczyła zagadnienia wpływu cykli koniunktury na rynek pracy. Obydwa stopnie nadane zostały w Kolegium Analiz Ekonomicznych Szkoły Głównej Handlowej w Warszawie.

Kierownik Katedry Ekonomii i Finansów oraz profesor Wyższej Szkoły Informatyki i Zarządzania z siedzibą w Rzeszowie. Specjalista w zakresie makroekonomii i ekonometrii stosowanej ze szczególnym zastosowaniem do rynku wolnych miejsc pracy oraz zapotrzebowania na pracę. Autor 60 publikacji naukowych z tych tematów oraz kilkuset innych obejmujących raporty z badań, ekspertyzy oraz artykuły prasowe, zamieszczone w ogólnopolskich czasopismach o charakterze ekonomicznym i głównych mediach internetowych w kraju. W swoim dorobku naukowym posiada artykuły opublikowane w czasopismach z listy Journal Citation Reports i publikacje w najlepszych polskich czasopismach ekonomicznych. W zakresie popularyzacji wyników badań regularnie współpracował z Gazetą Wyborczą, czasopismem Polish Market i Rzeczpospolitą.

Współwykonawca 30 projektów badawczych, w tym kilku międzynarodowych dotyczących rynku pracy. Od 2004 r. prowadzi regularne badania ofert pracy pn. Barometr Ofert Pracy. W latach 2017-2019 kierował projektem pn. Metoda ustawicznego monitorowania niedopasowania edukacyjnego na polskim rynku pracy na szczegółowym poziomie, finansowanym z programu DIALOG MNiSW. Współpracuje z Biurem Inwestycji i Cykli Ekonomicznych w Warszawie.

Ekspert merytoryczny Instytutu Badań Edukacyjnych w Warszawie. Od 2020 r. kieruje zespołem badawczym, którego celem jest dostarczenie informacji do przygotowania przez Ministerstwo Edukacji Narodowej corocznej Prognozy zapotrzebowania na pracowników w zawodach szkolnictwa branżowego na krajowym i wojewódzkim rynku pracy.

Robert Pater Ph.D. is an associate professor of economics at the University of Information Technology and Management (UITM) in Rzeszów, Poland. He holds the position of the Head of the Department of Economics and Finance at UITM. A specialist in the field of macroeconomics and applied econometrics with particular application to the job vacancy market and labour demand. The subject of his habilitation achievement was the demand for labour. His doctoral dissertation concerned the impact of the business cycles on the labour market. The degrees were awarded by the College of Economic Analysis at the Warsaw School of Economics.

Author of 60 scientific publications on the labour market and several hundred other publications, including research reports and press articles, published in the national economic magazines and the main Internet media in the country. His scientific achievements include articles published in journals from the Journal Citation Reports list and publications in the best Polish economic journals. In the field of popularizing research results, he regularly collaborated with Polish magazines and newspapers.

Expert of the Educational Research Institute in Warsaw in the National Qualifications Framework. Since 2020, he has been supervising a research team whose goal is to provide information for the preparation by the Ministry of Education and Science in Poland of the annual Forecast of the demand for employees in vocational education occupations in the national and regional labour markets.

Participant in 30 research projects, including several international ones related to the labour market. Since 2004, he has been conducting regular research on estimating the job offers market in Poland, named the Help-Wanted Index for Poland. In 2017-2019, he supervised a project entitled: Horizontal educational mismatch: a new method of measurement with application to Poland, financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Poland (grant no. DIALOG 0127/2016). Since 2006 he cooperates with the Bureau for Investments and Economic Cycles in Warsaw in forecasting labour market in Poland with a system of leading indices.
